The Sir Roden & Lady Cutler Foundation Harvey Norman Invitational Golf Day 2024

The Sir Roden & Lady Cutler Foundation Harvey Normal Invitational Golf Day was held at its traditional home, Concord Golf Club under perfect conditions, and with additional assistance on course from Geraldine and Nikki, scoring was bound to be good.

In the end two teams would separate themselves from the rest of the field with scores of 62 and 64. The runners up shot 64 and had a great start with a birdie on their first hole. However, they could only find another two birdies on their next ten holes and this would leave them middle of the pack with seven holes to play. Five birdies in a row soon changed things for the team and with just two holes left to play, anything was possible, but an untimely bogey would mean they had to settle for second place. Well played, Matt Goodchild, Matthew Moloney, Brett Goodchild & Kent Gilbert. The winning team shot the lowest score of the day and were off to a quick start to be three under par after five holes. Three pars in a row would slow their momentum until they managed four quick birdies to move them back up the leaderboard. With two holes to play it was neck and neck and birdies on their last two holes would prove to be the difference. Congratulations to Ken Dargan (14), Lee Gigg (11), Steve Weekes (27) & Paul Tuminello (5) who finished with nett 54.87 to take out the win.
