Macquarie Bank - Mornington Peninsula

The Macquarie Bank Mornington Peninsula trip took place under perfect conditions on two fantastic courses, including the spectacular Old Course at The National. Whilst the Old Course is spectacular, it is also brutal, with many guests donating a number of balls to the famous course. That said, there were a number of great scores with five players bettering their handicap. After the usual penalty shots were applied to any Macquarie representative, the winner was Andrew Kellett with 40 points and the team prize went to Stuart Hobden, Kieran Bresnahan, Matt King & Dick Crampton with 89 points on a count back.

The following day the fairways widened and the greens flattened, much to the appreciation of many! The scores reflected that with seven players shooting 40 points or more. The Macquarie penalty was again applied after Chris Stauber had a great round of 41 points (not that he minded, after winning the $600 skins jackpot!). The eventual winner was Tony Roumanous who won on a count back from five other players with 40 points. The team winners also needed a count back to be separated, with Paul Nelson, Robert Banning, Scott Walkom & Luke Kelly taking the price with 93 points.

Special mention has to be made to thank Jody for putting up with 31 blokes and struggling with a cold and no voice!
