Lexus of Port Macquarie Golf Invitational - Port Macquarie Golf Club

The Lexus of Port Macquarie Golf Invitational took place at its traditional home, Port Macquarie Golf Club. The course was in fantastic shape and with the perfect conditions, low scores would be the order of the day.

The third placed team of Chris Farrell, Cliff Fay, Steve Whitehead & Karen Whitehead where traveling along nicely at three under par after twelve holes, but still well back from a podium finish with just six holes to go. Thankfully for them, three birdies and a lucky guess on the charity hole would mean they finished with nett 55.12, jumping them up to third. The runners up finished with nett 54.25 and after a fantastic start with three birdies in a row, they were brought back to reality with a bogey on their fourth hole of the day. They then played their next nine holes in five under par and with five holes remaining, victory was in site. But, they could only manage one more birdie and would miss out by just 0.25. Well played, Roy Moller, Dave Massey, Jason Smith & Jarad Kreidl. The winners shot the lowest score of the day, a great 62! They were off to a flying start with six birdies in their first eight holes. A couple of pars made their way onto the card before four straight birdies gave them a commanding lead and actually allowed them to play the remaining four holes in even par to take out the victory with nett 54. Congratulations Nicholas Kosseris, Stefan Hamilton, Ian Munro & Nick Hurdle. For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
