2019 Lexus of Brisbane Group Golf Invitational - Wednesday

The first of three Lexus of Brisbane Group Golf Invitational's kicked off on a beautiful, but cool morning at Links Hope Island. Just under 100 guests took part in either the 18 hole event or the beginner golf lessons and the lunch room was full to capacity with the guest 'experiencing amazing' from Lexus of Brisbane Group. 

With perfect conditions, scoring was bound to be good! In third place with a nett 56.625 were Robert McAfee, Judy McAfee, John Elks & Judy Elks. They managed to shoot a great round of 65 that included three birdies in a row to finish their round and secure them third place. The second place team were just under two shots in front with nett 54.75 after shooting the lowest round of the day, a 62. Even with that great score, their low handicaps meant they needed one more birdie for the victory. Well done to Peter Collins, Ryan Hardiker, John Jeffrey & Warren Bamford on their ten birdie round. The winners shot 65 and snuck over the line with a strong finish to win with a nett 54.125. Congratulations to Alok Jhamb (14), Ganish Selva (19), Leslie Miethke (26) & Peter Lucas (27).

The charity event on course raised of $1,740 for Hear and Say. Thank you to all who contributed! We also had the 'smash factor' hole on the 2nd - see below for a collection of shots. 

Twenty five guests also enjoyed the beginner golf lessons with the local golf professionals. Congratulations to the following winners:

Chipping Runner Up - Patrick Mcally

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Graeme Allan, who will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
