Lexus of Hobart - Royal Hobart Golf Club
The Lexus of Hobart Golf Invitational took place under gloomy skies with the threat of rain. That said, we had a wonderful turn out with only one guest on the draw unable to make it and in the end, the rain didn't eventuate until the completion of play.
Royal Hobart was in fine condition and the slick greens made scoring difficult with the winning score almost five shots higher than last year. There was lots of fun on course with Jody hosting the radar gun, Georgi hitting tee shots, Titleist drivers to trial and live scoring to keep the groups on their toes. The leaderboard was congested with six teams within two shots of the winning score. Congratulations to the eventual winners Tim Johns, Gene Phair, Ross Tatnell and Todd Tatnell who finish with a nett score of 59. For the full results, click on the button below.
Ten guests joined us for the beginner golf lessons, hosted by the local professional Roger Hughes. After some practice, putting and chipping competitions were conducted with Kevin Joseph taking out the putting prize and Mandy Hayden the chipping prize.
