Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Thursday 4th May 2017
The first of three Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitationals took place at the beautiful Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club. A great number of Lexus owners were on hand to take on the tricky pin positions and slick greens during the 18 hole event as well as a record 32 guests for the beginner golf lessons.
In the end, the golf came down to a battle between three teams. In 3rd place with nine birdies and nine pars was the team of John & Fiona Karren and John & Lyn Buckley, who after a run of five birdies in a row during their round can consider themselves very unlucky. Just one quarter of a shot better with a nett 54.5 was the three ball team of Brad Cronin, Christopher & Vivienne Golis - a great effort with one less player! The winners managed to complete the round with seven birdies and no bogeys and due to their handicaps, were more than one shot ahead with a nett score of 53.375. The beginner lessons were hosted by three of the local Terrey Hills professionals and many of the guests were introduced to the game for the first time. Congratulations to James Elliott for winning the putting competition and Heather Dunne for winning the chipping comp.
In excess of $2,400 was raised for Tour de Cure via an on course fund raiser and the raffle for the Piranha golf clubs - thanks to all!
