Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Thursday 18th May 2017
The final Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational took place under perfect conditions at the exclusive Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club. With a number of golf professionals on course and the opportunity to win a Lexus for a hole in one on the 15th, the guests were keen to hit the course.
The event came down to a race between four groups who all finished within a shot of the leading score. With a nett 57.25 and fourth place was the team of Duc Pham, Binh Lam, Ho Seak Park & Ji Hee Ye who if not for a bogey on one of their final four holes, could well have taken the victory. Third place, just one eighth of a shot better with 57.125 were Tung Bui, Lam Nguyen, Janette Bryne and Frank Newman who had a great round with four birdies and no bogeys. In second place with a nett 57.1 was the team of Joe & Diane Doering, Susan Gaunt, Robert Yates & Medric Oribert who had a topsy turvy round with two birdies, two bogeys and an eagle. The winners scored a nett 56.625 but after their start they were considering the Bradman trophy rather than the winners... They were two over par after their first three holes, but managed to finish with seven birdies to take out the victory.
In excess of $2,400 was raised for Tour de Cure via the on course ribbon event and the draw for the Piranha golf clubs.
