Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club - 9th May 2019

The first of three Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitationals was held at Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club under beautiful conditions. Over 110 guests took part in either the 18 hole event or the beginner golf lessons and the lunch room was full to capacity with the guest 'experiencing amazing' from Lexus of Chatswood.

With perfect conditions, scoring was bound to be good! In third place on a count back with a nett 54.125 were John Karren, Fiona Karren, Dean Smedley & Suzanne Smedley. They managed to shoot a great round of 65 that included five birdies in a row at one stage, but that spectacular run was followed by a bogey that slowed their momentum and relegated them to third. The second place team also had a nett 54.125 after shooting 65, but they must have been having doubts about their score when they were one over par after six holes. A strong finish with an eagle and six birdies shot them up the leaderboard and ensured they would sneak into second place on a count back. Well done to Tony Sun, Florence Sun, Belinda Pan & Nick Ni. The winners shot the lowest round of the day, a 64. They started strongly with two birdies but a bogey on the third brought them back to reality. Steady play from their with seven birdies allowed them to take the victory with a nett 52.5. Congratulations to Bradley O'Mullane (4), Jeannette Byrne (35), Susan Gaunt (26) & Robert Yates (27).
