Delta Building Automation 25th Birthday Golf Invitational - Royal Canberra Golf Club

The Delta Building Automation 25th Birthday Invitational Golf Day was held at the beautiful Royal Canberra Golf Club. The perfect weather played its part, but the course condition was simply stunning and with additional assistance on course from the golf pros, scores were bound to be good.

In the end, it was extremely close with six teams within a shot of the winning score. The third place team of Ian Bowyer, Owen Finnegan, David Hill & Michael Thompson scrapped over the line on a count back with nett 57.37, but there round was off to a rocky start with a bogey on their very first hole. Things quickly improved with six birdies and if they could have managed one more birdie in their last five holes they would have taken out the win. Just 0.37 of shot ahead were the runners up with nett 57 and after five holes they were sitting at even par with a birdie and a bogey already on the card. Steady play from there saw no more bogeys and three birdies to take out second place. Well played, Mirko Milic, Nik Milic, Harley Whiting & Matt Williams. The winning team shot the equal lowest score of the day and were one of only two teams to have a bogey free round. They were off to a great start to be four under par after ten holes and on top of the leaderboard. Things slowed down with six straight pars until a crucial birdie on their final hole would lift them to top place with nett 56.5. Congratulations to Josh Day (24), Mark Pearson (24), Kieran Ferns (12) & Todd Parkinson (24).
