ANZ 2025 Sydney Golf Day - The Lakes Golf Club

The ANZ Sydney Golf Day took place at The Lakes Golf Club and after a very wet August, we were treated to a perfect spring day. As usual, the course was in great condition and in the end it was only 0.25 of a shot that separated the top two teams.

The third placed team of Love Jain, Adam Gee, Josh Cross & Richard Breden had a steady start to be one under after five holes, but four straight birdies quickly advanced them up the leader board. Trouble then struck on the tough 3rd hole where they recorded a bogey before storming home with three birdies in a row to sneak into third place with nett 54.5. The runners up were four under par after five holes in quite an unconventional manner....par, par, birdie, hole in one, birdie! Needless to say, the team were buzzing at this point. Congratulations to Martin Collins on his hole in one. Seven more birdies would be added to their card, but it was the par, par finish that meant they would have to settle for second with nett 52.87. Well played, David Roux, Matth Arthur, Martin Collins & Michael Hawke. The winners shot the lowest score of the day - an incredible twelve under par. They had a nice start to be four under par after nine holes, but were certainly not threatening the top of the leader board at that stage, but an eight under par back nine with six birdies and an eagle will certainly doing wonders for your score. Taking out the win by the barest of margins with nett 52.62. Congratulations Cain Davey, Nikki Garrett, Gerry Harvey & Michael Siddle.
