ANZ 2024 Sydney Golf Day - The Lakes Golf Club

The ANZ Sydney Golf Day took place at The Lakes Golf Club and with the weather on our side this year and the course in fantastic condition, good scoring would be required to make the podium.

The third placed team of Aaron Brunner, Gerry Yin, Nathan James & Gary Liversage started on a hard part of the course and were actually two over par after five holes. Thankfully for them, that would be the end of the bogeys and when six birdies were added, it shot them up the leaderboard to finish with nett 56.25. In contrast, the runners up were off to a flyer when they were three under par after four holes. That momentum slowed but they still managed another four birdies over their closing holes to finish with nett 54.62. Well played, Anthony Panousis, Priyan Silva, Talal Ibrahim & Phil Allen. The winners shot the lowest score of the day - an incredible ten under par. Their round included eight birdies and an eagle and they even had the luxury of playing their last eight holes in only two under par. In the end, they would take out the win by exactly one shot with nett 53.62 - some 2.5 shots better that last years winning score. Congratulations Ross Allen (6), Steve Campbell (19), Martin Ross (24) & Declan Brennan (18).
