2026 Lexus of Berwick Golf Invitational - The National Golf Club
The Lexus of Berwick Golf Invitational took place at one of Australia's top golf facilities, The National Golf Club. The weather did its part (despite the forecast) and after some early morning showers cleared to a beautiful day, offering the guests perfect conditions to experience amazing.
The third placed team of Jarrod Matthews, Andrew Walker, Paul Bolton & Tim Credlin were off to a spectacular start with three birdies in a row. Things slowed down and they could only manage two birdies in the next seven holes, before finding form again with five under for their remaining holes to finish with nett 53, including a great eagle on the 2nd hole. The runners up were just 0.13 short of the winning score with nett 52.5 and must be wondering how they missed out on the main prize when they were ten under par after ten holes! Unfortunately for them, after the fast start, they could only manage two birdies on their last eight holes and would have to settle for second place. Well played, Daniel Brady, Matthew Fitzgerald, Timothy Johnston & Ted Woodruff. The winners shot the lowest score of the day - a fantastic 59! You can therefore imagine there were a lot of birdies, but with three holes to play they were sitting at ten under par and still needed a great finish to take out the event. Then came the charity hole and with a wise guess the team recorded a hole in one and made birdie on the final hole to sneak over the line with nett 52.37. Congratulations James Bonnett (6), James Cook (6), Sean Hopkins (14) & Matthew Smith (27). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
