2025 Sydney City Lexus Golf Invitational - The Lakes Golf Club, March

The Sydney City Lexus Golf Invitational was held at The Lakes Golf Club under perfect conditions. The recent renovations to four greens was well received and with all the help on course, scoring was going to be low.

The third placed team of Matthew Rose, Geoff Simpson & Latrell Mitchell had an indifferent start with four birdies and two bogeys in their first six holes. They managed to steady things over the next seven holes with two more birdies, but it was the run of four birdies in a row to finish that shot them up the leader board into third place with nett 54. One and a half shots in front were the runners up with nett 52.5. They were off to a fantastic start to be four under after just five holes. Things came crashing down on the index one hole when they recorded a bogey, but three more birdies meant they would remain on the podium to finish second. Well played, John Leask, Elizabeth Leask, Chris Hekeik & Raymond Hekeik. The winners had the lowest score of the day, a fantastic 63. A birdie, birdie start set them on their way, but like many, they were undone by the tough third hole and scored their only bogey of the day. After seven holes they were only two under par and middle of the pack, but that all changed when they played the remaining holes in seven under par to take out victory by just over a shot with nett 51.12. The on course charity event and matching from Sydney City Lexus raised $13,000 for the Sydney Children's Hospital - thanks to all who contributed! Skye was on the 14th hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:
