2025 Lexus of Tasmania Golf Invitational - Royal Hobart Golf Club

The Lexus of Tasmania Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Royal Hobart Golf Club under warm conditions and the score set by the winning team will be hard to beat all year! As the first Lexus event on the calendar, it was also pleasing to see a record attendance of in excess of 90 guests over the day.

The third placed team of Keith Banks-Smith, Wayne Banks-Smith, Roddo Banks-Smith & Wayne Hayden were off to a steady start with six pars in a row before a flurry of four birdies in five holes rocketed them up the leader board. Unfortunately, that great run would come to an end with a bogey on the 10th hole. They managed to record two more birdies on the way home, but with a back nine score of only one under they missed out on second place on a count back with 57.25. The lucky runners up had a birdie, a par and a bogey on their first three holes. Thankfully for them, that would be the last of the bogeys and when they added four more birdies they were able to sneak into second place. Well played, Anne Windsor, Rob Windsor, Tracey Taylor & Greg Taylor. The winners were never troubled and shot out of the blocks with birdies on their first three holes and completed their first nine in five under par. Their back nine was even more exciting with five birdies an eagle and even a bogey to finish eleven under par and win by more than three shots with nett 53.62. The on course charity event raised a record $2,600 for the Variety Charity - thanks to all who supported. Nikki was on the 13th hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:
