2024 Lexus of Parramatta Golf Invitational - Pennant Hills Golf Club - Friday
The Lexus Parramatta Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Pennant Hills Golf Club under cool and sometimes rainy conditions. Despite the weather, we managed to have a 100% turn out which was a fantastic result.
In the end, it took the lowest score of the year to take out first place. The third placed team of Suzanne Toepfer, Stephen Toepfer, Jeremy Vista & Michael Edmonds were off to the worst start possible with a par and two bogeys in their first three holes. This all changed when they had eight birdies in their next eleven holes, including five in a row at one stage. However, four pars to finish their round meant they would have to settle for third place with nett 52.25. The runners up also had a rocky start with a par, birdie and bogey in their first three holes and after eleven holes they were middle of the field at two under par. Thankfully for them, five birdies in the last seven holes shot them up the leaderboard into second place with nett 50.12. Well played, Yong Suk Won, Young Won, Eun Hwa Sung & Min Joo Sung. The winners not only shot the magical 59, but would also record the lowest score of the year with nett 49.25. In contrast to second and third, they would start with three straight birdies and the next ten holes would yield four more birdies and an eagle to be comfortably on top of the leaderboard. The tough tenth hole would get their measure with a bogey recorded. This did little to bother the team as they finished with four birdies in a row to take out the win by just 0.87 of a shot. Congratulations, Rakesh Prasad (25), Sam Lal (18), John Prasad (17) & Ray Rodriguez (18). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
