2024 Lexus of Brighton Golf Invitational - Victoria Golf Club

The Lexus Brighton Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Victoria Golf Club and with the course and weather on our side, scoring was bound to be very good.

In the end, the top two teams were separated by less than a shot. The third placed team of Jackie Nish, Jenni Brennan, Ken Clark & Ray Henderson were off to the worst start possible with a par and two bogeys in their first three holes to find them languishing at the bottom of the leaderboard. This all changed when they had five birdies and a hole in one on the charity hole (thanks to a generous donation), that allowed them to finish with nett 53.5. The runners up shot the equal lowest score of the day, a fantastic 60! That said, there were no signs of that early in their round when they recorded four pars to start. Four birdies in a row quickly followed before a few pars and then an incredible run of eight under for their next six holes. Unfortunately for them, two pars to finish would mean they came up just short with nett 52.12. Well played, Chris Tanti, David Jonker, Tony Seychell & Ian Wilson. The winners were off to a steady start to be two under after nine holes. This would put them middle of the field and not in any position to threaten the win at this stage. That all changed when they played their last nine holes in eight under par to finish with nett 51.25. Congratulations, Robert Bednarek (12), John Silva (16), Vincent Halim (26) & Vanessa Feakes (32).
