2024 Lexus of Brighton Golf Invitational - Metropolitan Golf Club

The Lexus Brighton Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Metropolitan Golf Club under cool, windy and sometimes rainy conditions. Despite the weather, we managed to have a 100% turn out which was a fantastic result.

In the end, just over a shot separated the top four teams. The third placed team of Wendy Pullar, Patrick Farrell, Carol Li & Tony Cui were lucky to pip another team on a count back when they both finished with nett 58.37. That said, they didn't have it all their own way as they bogeyed their very first hole of the day. They were quickly able to right things with a birdie on their next hole and steady golf from there on allowed them to claim third place. The runners up also started with a bogey and after a few steadying pars, they put together four birdies in the space of five holes to race up the leaderboard. Coming down to their last three holes, they were still in with a chance to take out first place, but an untimely bogey meant they would have to settle for second on nett 57.25. Well played, Mark Ross, Ian Vague, Chris Minas & Frank Mascaro. The eventual winners would sneak over the line by just 0.13 of a shot with nett 57.12 and in contrast to the other place getters, they started strongly with three birdies in a row. They would go on to shoot the lowest score of the day, a fantastic eight under par, but if it hadn't been for birdies on their last two holes, they would not have even finished on the podium. Congratulations, Paul Diviny, Harris Diviny, Jamie Harris & Chris McKenzie. For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
