2024 HLB Mann Judd Golf Day - Concord Golf Club
The 31st Annual HLB Mann Judd Golf Day was held at its traditional home, Concord Golf Club under blistering conditions that required a change of tee time to ensure the comfort of the guests. The 2024 event would prove to be extremely close with less than a shot separating the top two teams.
In third place with nett 55.25 were Michael Hutton, Drew Burden, Catherine Crouch & Ewen Crouch who were actually one over par after three holes. Four birdies in a row followed, before another bogey had them up and down the leaderboard. Whilst no more bogeys were recorded, they could only manage two birdies on their last ten holes and would have to settle for third place. Just over a shot in front were the runners up of Simon James, Sam Burrell, Aidan Murarotto & Paul Pannozzo who shot an incredible round of 60! A great start of five birdies in their first nine holes would be bettered with six birdies on their final nine to finish with nett 53.62, just shy of first place. The winning team shot the second lowest score of the day, but used their handicaps to perfection to take out the win with nett 53. They were one under par after four holes, before recording three straight birdies to make a quick move up the leaderboard. Another four birdies and no bogeys would allow them to finish on top by just 0.62 of a shot. Congratulations to Peter Bembrick (27), Robert Ambrogio (5), Corene Strauss (36) & Dennis Wong (12).
