2022 Fujitsu Charity Golf Day
The Victoria Golf Club was in amazing condition for the 16th Fujitsu Charity Golf Day supporting Camp Quality. After a week of relatively calm & warm conditions, the Fujitsu guests were greeted with a stiff breeze that made things somewhat challenging. This meant scores were lower than usual, but it also meant a lot of teams were only a few shots away from taking out the win.
Nine teams managed to compile team scores above 90 points and therefore averaging more than 5 points a hole. A count back was required to determine third place with two teams finishing on 95. Scraping over the line was the team of Bryce Crick, Drew Coffey, Scott McMorran & John Hudson who incredibly had a 1-pointer and 2-pointer in their round. Thankfully two 8-pointers and a 7-point hole steadied their score enough to take out third. A shot better with 96 points were Malcolm Pope, Glenn Stuttard, Andrew Wilson & Peter Grassi, who despite two 2-point holes, managed two 8-pointers and three 7-pointers to find themselves near the top of the leader board. That said, they only managed 12 points on their last three holes and must be ruing some missed opportunities. The winning teams scored 96 points and were steady all day with just one hole with a score of less than 4 points. That, coupled with five 7-pointers and four 6-pointers was enough to secure victory by one shot. Congratulations to Tim Clemens (20), Matt Buckley (25), Karlo Parulan (13) & Matt Bolton (7).
