2026 Melbourne City Lexus | Lexus of Essendon Golf Invitational - Yarra Yarra

The Melbourne City Lexus and Lexus of Essendon Golf Invitational was held at Yarra Yarra Golf Club, where the quick greens would sort out even the most confident putter. Scoring was tight, with 5 teams within a shot of the runner up score.

Claiming third place were Gerard Percy, Bernadette Percy, Graeme Bye and Jan Bye with a nett 53.37. They made a steady start, recording two birdies on the front nine before finding another gear with a birdie blitz, picking up three more in the next four holes. Their momentum then slowed through the tougher section of the course, but one final birdie proved crucial, securing third place by just a quarter of a shot.

Finishing just 0.12 shots ahead of the third-placed team were runners-up Alexandra Heggaton, Dayna Kahlefeldt, Peter Challman and Alan McInnes with a nett 53.25. After opening with a couple of pars, they hit their stride with five birdies across the next eight holes, highlighted by a long-range putt on the challenging 9th. The scoring pace eased over the following six holes, when they played them in one over par. However, with the finish line in sight, they managed to add one more birdie to their card, which proved just enough to secure second place by the narrowest of margins.

Taking out the Lexus of Wodonga Golf Invitational in impressive fashion were Andrew Pratt (20), James Pratt (27), Geoff Pratt (19) and Tommas Pratt (9) with an outstanding nett 52.62. Their gross score of 62 was equal-lowest of the day, an exceptional effort considering they opened with a bogey. Recovering superbly from that early setback, they collected six birdies over the next thirteen holes, although they were still chasing the leaders with four holes remaining. A sensational finish, featuring three birdies in their final four holes, saw them surge clear to claim a fantastic victory.
