2026 Lexus of Sutherland Golf Invitational - St Michael's Golf Club

The Lexus of Sutherland Golf Invitational took place at a new home, the beautiful St Michael's Golf Club. The course was in fantastic shape and despite the impending rain, we had a fantastic turn out and the first ever 'Albatross' at a Lexus event - congratulations Hugo Brown!

The third placed team of Terry Brown, Hugo Brown, Robert Waterford Snr & Robert Waterford Jnr started with a birdie and a par on their first two holes. Then, Hugo let rip with driver on the par 4, 4th hole and it went sailing into the hole past the players standing on the green for an incredible albatross! Needless to say there was some excitement from all who witnessed this feat! But, they were not done, adding four birdies and an eagle to the card before signing for ten under and nett 52.5. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough and they would have to settle for third place. The runners up finished just 0.25 ahead with nett 52.25 and despite two bogeys in their their first five holes, when you add eight birdies and an eagle you tend to finish near the top. Well played, Daniel Win, Bill Leslie, Charlie Battiato & Oliver Neckovski. The winners had the lowest score by four shots on their way to a 58, and that was finishing with three pars in a row! After a par on the first they played the next fourteen holes in fourteen under par, with ten birdies and two eagles...not bad golf! This allowed them to take out the victory by over two shots with nett 50.12. Congratulations Warwick Williams (7), Bryan Rhodes (24), Peter Scullion (8) & Joel Williams (24).
