2026 Lexus of Springwood Golf Invitational - Links Hope Island

The Lexus of Springwood Golf Invitational returned to its traditional home at Links Hope Island Golf Club, where the course was presented in outstanding condition. A moderate southerly breeze made playing into the wind a genuine challenge, but that didn’t stop one team in particular of producing an impressive score.

Claiming third place were Shinnsheng Yang, Jen-Te Chen, Leo Zhuang & Andy Liu. Their round got off to a slow start with a bogey on the opening hole, but they quickly turned things around with three birdies in the next five holes. Despite this, they reached the halfway mark sitting well back of the leaders at two under par. They found another gear on the closing stretch, adding six birdies to their scorecard to finish in third place with a nett 53.62.

Less than a shot ahead were the runners-up, Tim Pulsford, Vlad Dugandzic, Gino De Luca & Damien Fuller, who recorded a nett 52.75 after producing the lowest score of the day - a fantastic 61. To shoot eleven under par, a fast start is essential, and they certainly delivered, reaching six under par after just seven holes, highlighted by a brilliant eagle on the par 5, 8th. Four straight pars temporarily slowed their momentum, but they finished strongly, playing the final seven holes in six under par.

Taking out the win by almost three shots with an outstanding nett 49.87 were Anthony Walduck (6), Bree Walduck (36), Philip Moore (27) & Jillian MacDonald (36). After a mixed start featuring two pars, a birdie and a bogey over the opening four holes, they found their rhythm with three consecutive birdies. The charity hole then delivered a huge boost when they recorded a lucky hole-in-one. A few pars and a bogey briefly stalled their momentum, but they finished in spectacular fashion, closing with five birdies in their final seven holes to secure a convincing victory.

The on-course charity challenge was once again a fantastic success, raising an impressive $5,620 for Legacy Brisbane. Thank you to everyone who generously contributed and helped support such a worthwhile cause.

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day and Catherine Ellis was the lucky winner. Catherine will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club and attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
