2026 Lexus of Macarthur Golf Invitational - New South Wales Golf Club

The Lexus of Macarthur Golf Invitational was held at one of the most iconic courses in the country, the New South Wales Golf Club. Unfortunately, the weather gods had other ideas, with persistent drizzle making conditions challenging throughout the day. But with the chance to tee it up at a top-five course, the players remained focused, and some outstanding scores were still produced.

Claiming third place were Mal Broad, Peter Sara, Jake Hozack & Hugh Franklin with a nett 56.75. Their round got off to a sluggish start, with five pars and a bogey in their opening six holes leaving them well off the pace. Two birdies over the next seven holes brought them back into contention, and a lucky guess on the charity hole added another boost. However, a bogey, birdie, par finish meant they couldn't quite find the extra shots needed to climb higher on the leaderboard.

Just half a shot ahead were the runners-up, John Terzopoulos, Florian Grahl, Wayne Patterson & Luke Basic, who finished with a nett 56.25. They flew out of the blocks and were six under after eleven holes, seemingly in complete control. But two unexpected bogeys saw them surrender their advantage and fall back into the chasing pack. With four holes remaining, they needed a strong finish to feature and three birdies delivered exactly that, securing a well-earned second place.

Taking the honours by just over a shot with an outstanding nett 54.87 were Tung Vu Thanh (27), Minh Le Xuan Minh (23), Kendrick Lu (16) & Rick Ye (15). Their final score of 65 was tied for the best gross score of the day, although the round wasn't without its twists. Six straight pars to start were added to the scorecard, before a lucky guess on the charity hole provided a lift. With six holes remaining, however, they were only three under par and the chasing teams were closing in. The team responded in style, producing a brilliant four-birdie finish to pull clear and seal a deserved victory.
