2026 Lexus of Darwin Golf Invitational - Darwin Golf Club

The Lexus of Darwin Golf Invitational was held at the picturesque Darwin Golf Club in near-perfect conditions. Although a moderate easterly breeze strengthened as the morning progressed, most teams had already built solid rounds before it became a significant factor. In the end, the winning team proved too strong, claiming victory by more than two shots.

Finishing in third place were Scott Trembath, Holly Trembath, Carol Need and David Loy. Despite recording the lowest gross score of the day by two shots, the handicaps saw them slip to third with nett 55.87. Their round began steadily, producing just two birdies across the opening seven holes. However, a fortunate hole-in-one on the charity hole provided the spark they needed, and they quickly found their rhythm with four birdies over the next five holes to surge up the leaderboard. Sitting in contention with five holes remaining, they looked poised for an even stronger finish, but just one additional birdie over the closing stretch meant they would ultimately settle for third place.

Securing the runners-up prize on a countback, also with a nett score of 55.87, were Aneliese Sanger, Ricky Sanger, Stuart Kenny and Louisa Kenny. An excellent start featuring two birdies in their opening four holes had them well placed early, before a run of five consecutive pars stalled their momentum. Fortunately, they rediscovered their touch on the back nine, producing three birdies to edge into second place on countback.

Claiming the title with a superb nett score of 53.37 were Rosemary Campbell, Greg Campbell, Justin Lefebvre and Kylie Lefebvre. An opening stretch of five pars gave little indication of the performance that was about to unfold. Their tournament-winning charge came over the next ten holes, where they played an outstanding seven under par to open up an unassailable lead. Three closing pars were all that was required to complete a dominant victory by more than two shots.

The on-course charity challenge was once again a fantastic success, raising an impressive $2,830 for Cancer Council, NT. Thank you to everyone who generously contributed and helped support such a worthwhile cause.

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day and Stuart Kenny was the lucky winner. Stuart will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
