2026 Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club - 21st May

The Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational was held at the stunning Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club and, despite a questionable forecast, the weather turned on a great day for golf. Scoring was incredibly tight, with the top three teams separated by just 0.25 of a shot.

In third place were Renuka Patel, Julie Kiddell, Hadden Watt and Kevin Yeung. Their round began steadily with two birdies across the opening ten holes, leaving them well off the pace early. However, a brilliant stretch of five under par over the next five holes propelled them into contention, ultimately posting the equal lowest score of the day — a 65. Despite the strong finish, they fell just short, securing third place with a nett 55.25.

Just 0.13 of a shot ahead in second place, with a nett 55.12, were Raymond Gebrael, George Khalil, Christopher Browne and Alan Farnsworth. Mirroring the third-placed team, they sat at two under par after eight holes before surging up the leaderboard with five consecutive birdies, and a fortunate guess on the charity hole. With victory within reach, back-to-back bogeys to finish proved costly, ending their challenge.

The winning team set the pace early, reaching five under par through ten holes, highlighted by an outstanding eagle on the par-5 1st. Facing the more difficult closing stretch, they managed just one additional birdie, but it proved enough to clinch victory by the narrowest of margins — 0.12 of a shot — with a nett 55. Congratulations to Peter Iles (27), Anne Iles (36), Gary Gregson (7) and Rachel Gregson (26) on a well-earned win.

A record crowd of 30 guests took part in the Par 3 event at Shortees and guests took part in a 3-ball Ambrose competition with the following winners:

Overall Winners - Ian Cooper, Tim Shields & Nick Wharton - nett 46

Runners Up - Geoff Firth, Ross Firth & Scott Firth - nett 47

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day and Nicholas Moore was the lucky winner. Nicholas will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club and attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
