2026 Lexus of Central Coast Golf Invitational - Kooindah Waters

The Lexus of Central Coast Golf Invitational was held at Kooindah Waters, where the course was presented in outstanding condition following the Pro Am earlier in the week. With the greens running hard and fast, players needed to bring their A-game, and they certainly delivered, with just 0.37 of a shot separating the top three teams!

Claiming third place were John Dolton, Richard Doyle, Gai Palmer & Kathy Dean, who finished with a nett 53.37 and were unlucky to miss out on second place on a countback. Their round got off to a slow start, with just one birdie in their opening eight holes. They then found their rhythm around the turn, picking up two birdies and making a lucky guess on the charity hole to move to five under. With plenty still to do if they were to feature on the podium, two late birdies proved crucial and secured them third place.

Also finishing on nett 53.37 were runners-up Geoff Blaauw, Isaac Adele, Craig Scott & Scott Donoghoe. They took a while to find their groove, sitting well down the leaderboard at one over par after eight holes. What followed was an incredible burst of golf, with seven birdies and an eagle in their next eight holes catapulting them into contention. With just two holes remaining, a bogey and a birdie left them needing a little more to take the title, eventually finishing just 0.37 of a shot behind the winners.

Taking the win by the barest of margins with an outstanding nett 53 were Danielle Stretton, Dave Stretton, Gary Mitchell & Shona Mitchell. Starting on the charity hole, they got their round off to a flying start and quickly established themselves at the top of the leaderboard after recording the lowest score of the day, a fabulous 61. They remained there for the rest of the day, but with four holes to play, several teams were still within striking distance. Two late birdies, however, delivered the killer blow and secured the team a memorable victory.
