2026 Lexus of Brisbane Golf Invitational - Links Hope Island

The Lexus of Brisbane Golf Invitational returned to its traditional home at Links Hope Island Golf Club, where the course was once again presented in outstanding condition. Scoring was exceptionally good, with the depth of quality highlighted by the fact that the top nine teams would have taken the title at the previous day’s event!

Claiming third place were Arvind Bhasin, Geeta Bhasin, Ed Chandra & Grace Chandra. After opening with two pars, they hit their stride in spectacular fashion, playing the next nine holes in an incredible eight under par. With just seven holes remaining, victory was firmly within reach. Unfortunately, they could manage only one more birdie from there, and a bogey on their second-last hole ultimately saw them finish in third place with a nett 51.87.

Just 0.75 of a shot ahead were runners-up, Andrew McGrath, Jamie McGrath, Jennifer Lyons & Jim Lyons who finished with a nett 51.12. Four consecutive pars to begin their round left them searching for a spark, and they didn’t have to wait much longer, producing a fantastic eagle on their fifth hole. Two more birdies followed, but an untimely bogey left them three under after 11 holes and seemingly well off the pace. However, in almost identical fashion to the third-placed team, they played their final seven holes in an incredible eight under par to charge up the leaderboard and secure second place.

Taking out the title by just under two shots with an outstanding nett 49.33 were the three-ball team of Katherine Duffield (34), Jamie Duffield (11) & Bruce Manderson (7). Despite recording the lowest score of the day, their round was far from perfect, with a bogey on the opening hole. Two birdies in the next three holes quickly restored confidence, before a superb eagle on the par-5 11th put them firmly in contention. From there, they produced some remarkable golf, adding seven birdies and two more eagles to their card to finish with an extraordinary fourteen-under-par 58 and comfortably claim the victory.

The on-course charity challenge was once again a fantastic success, raising an impressive $7,600 for Legacy Brisbane. Thank you to everyone who generously contributed and helped support such a worthwhile cause.

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day and Stephanie Stelea was the lucky winner. Stephanie will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
