2026 Lexus of Blackburn Golf Invitational - Royal Melbourne Golf Club - March

The Lexus of Blackburn Golf Invitational took place at the number one course in the country, The Royal Melbourne Golf Club. The weather did its part (after a terrible forecast) and despite the odd shower, the guests were treated to great scoring conditions.

The third placed team of Timothy Webb, Kathryn Salmon, Anthony Gurry & Doreen Chua were off to a great start with three birdies in their first six holes. Things then slowed down an a dreaded bogey made its way onto the card on the 18th hole. Still, they had time to recover and with two more birdies they were up into third place with nett 56.25 to sneak over the line on a count back. The runners up were just 0.63 ahead with nett 55.62 and had quite an eventful round with seven birdies, three bogeys and an eagle. Unfortunately for them, their final bogey came on their last hole of the day and meant they would have to settle for second place. Well played, Lucas van Raay, Peter Myors, Laurence Mackechnie & Peter Bennett. The winners had the lowest round of the day by three shots when they signed for ten under par! They were also the lowest handicapped team on course, so a good score was definitely required if they were to feature. There score card read of consistency, with five birdies on each nine and no bogeys in sight. In the end, they took out the win by exactly one shot with nett 54.62. Congratulations Stephen Wright (3), Mark Dobson (13), David Jones (27) & Jacob Wahba (16). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
