2026 Lexus of Tasmania Golf Invitational - Royal Hobart Golf Club
The Lexus of Tasmania Golf Invitational took place at its traditional home, Royal Hobart Golf Club. The course was in fantastic shape and with the perfect conditions, low scores would be the order of the day.
The third placed team of Sean McGuire, Wade Hawkins, Tim d'Emden & Peter Volker started with a bogey on their first hole. In fact, after seven holes they were sitting in the middle of the pack at even par, until a lucky guess on the charity hole sparked them into form. In the end they played the remaining eleven holes in nine under par to finish with nett 55.12. The runners up finished with nett 54.62 and also started with a bogey, but that was erased soon after with four consecutive birdies. With holes running out, a quick finish was required and three birdies in their last four holes lifted them up to second place. Well played, Graeme Turnbull, Peter Burridge, Jason Atkins & Peter Flood. The winners were a three ball team and must have felt like the odds were against them, but a hole in one (charity hole), birdie, birdie start would have surely given them some confidence. In the end, their round consisted of seven birdies, the hole in one and a lone bogey giving them the victory by 1.12 shots with nett 53.5. Congratulations Tim McConnon, Chase McConnon & Phil Street.
