2026 Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club - 7th May

The Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational was held at the stunning Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club in perfect conditions, with the beautiful weather ensuring low scores would be needed to feature in the prizes.

Finishing in third place were John Goodwin, Scott Gilmore, Jay Middleton and Daniel Hudson. Their round got off to a difficult start with two early bogeys putting them immediately on the back foot. A birdie over the next five holes helped steady the ship before they produced a superb run of seven birdies in eight holes to sign for a nett 57.37.

Just half a shot ahead in the runner-up position on nett 56.87 were Geoff Thompsett, Geoff Burke, Antonio Macri and George Macri. Like the third-placed team, they also opened with a bogey, but quickly recovered by playing the next 13 holes in nine-under-par. Unfortunately, a late bogey ended any hopes of victory.

The winning team set the tone early, reaching four-under-par through the opening five holes. After adding another three birdies to the card, they were able to cruise home with five closing pars to secure victory by exactly one shot with a superb nett 55.87. Congratulations to Chris Whitwell (23), Thomas Averill (20), Andrew Percival (27) and Greg Barwick (3).

A large crowd of 36 guests took part in the beginner golf lessons conducted by the local golf professionals. Competitions were held for the golfers in both putting and chipping with the winners below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day and Glenn Low was the lucky winner. Glenn will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club and attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
