2026 Melbourne City Lexus | Lexus of Essendon Golf Invitational - Huntingdale Golf Club

The Melbourne City Lexus and Lexus of Essendon Golf Invitational was held at the newly renovated Huntingdale Golf Club, where despite the heavy rain the day prior, the course was in great condition. Scoring wasn't easy on the new layout, but a number of teams managed to hole the putts required to get to the top of the leaderboard.

Claiming third place were Mehran Saba, Tony Tasevski, Tony Costanzo & Dario Urban with a nett 58.62. They made a steady start, recording three birdies in their first eight holes, before a lucky guess on the charity hole shot them up the leaderboard. Unfortunately their momentum was stalled with a bogey a few holes later, but when they put that behind them and added another three birdies, they were able to sneak into third place by half a shot.

Finishing just 0.62 shots ahead of the third-placed team were runners-up Tim Connelly, Steven O'Brien, David Barham & Peter Forbes with a nett 58. After an opening nine with just one birdie, they must have thought their chances to be on the podium had all but vanished. Then came an incredible final nine holes with seven birdies, including five in a row to finish the round. This hot streak was enough to lift them up into the runner up position.

Taking out the win in impressive fashion were Kristy Strybosch (36), Anthony Strybosch (14), Peter Fancke (20) & Jenny Fancke (23) with an outstanding nett 56.37. After eleven holes they were sitting at three under par and only midway up the leaderboard. A hot streak of three birdies in four holes changed all that and with three holes to play they even had the luxury of a bogey to still take out the win by more than a shot.
