2025 Melbourne City Lexus Golf Invitational - Woodlands Golf Club

The Melbourne City Lexus Golf Invitational took place at the beautiful Woodlands Golf Club and after a cool start to the day, the clouds parted allowing the guests to enjoy all aspects of the day.

The third placed team of Suzanne Cairns, Norma Vogel, Wayne Christie & Mick Doyle were moving along nicely at two under par after eight holes until a dreaded bogey made its way onto the score card. They responded quickly with four birdies in the next six holes and with three holes to go the victory was in sight until a one over par finish relegated them to third with nett 55.75 on a count back from another team. The runners up finished less than half a shot ahead with nett 55.37 and after eight holes were travelling along nicely at four under par. They suddenly found form with five birdies in a row before their lone bogey of the day came on their final hole. Well played, Clinten Waite, Nasser Almatrah, Sam Thi Hoai Nguyen & Johnny Nguyen. The winners took out victory by over a shot with nett 53.75 and were the only team on the day without a bogey! After four pars to start, their first under par score came by the way of an eagle on the 15th hole and when you couple that with five birdies for the rest of the round, victory was theirs. Congratulations Phillip Clarke (15), Sally Diserio (26), Kristy Strybosch (26) & Tony Strybosch (15). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.

The on course charity event raised $3,400 for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, thanks to Melbourne City Lexus generously matching the guests donations - thanks to all who contributed! Flightscope was on the 15th hole - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:
