2025 Mater Dei Charity Golf Day - Lakeside Golf Club
The 31st Mater Dei Charity Golf Day was held at its traditional home, Lakeside Golf Club under anything but perfect conditions. After a calm morning, the heavens opened multiple times making the going tough for most groups. However, one group was clearly not affected and went on to secure the victory by exactly four shots!
In the end, third place came down to a count back after two teams finished with nett 55. Sneaking over the line was the team from Allied Credit & Connected Vehicles who on their second hole of the day recorded an eagle to get off to a great start. Some steady golf followed until four birdies in seven holes moved them up the leader board enough to take the last spot on the podium. Just 0.75 of a shot ahead in second place were Westgroup Macarthur, who managed nine birdies in their first fifteen holes and had it not been for three pars to finish, they may have been able to threaten the run away winners. So, not only did the winners finish four shots ahead of the rest of the field, they also shot an amazing score of sixteen under par - the lowest score I have ever seen in my 700+ events...and believe it or not, it all started with a par on their first hole of the day! Well played to Lachlan Brooke (6), Nick Carr (9), Dan Carr (15) & Nathan Giudice (16) who represented Bradcorp Holdings.

Nikki was on the 12th hole using Flightscope to record each players swing and 'smash factor'. For a collection of swings, please see the video below - apologies if your video did not make the final cut, but some videos were drastically affected by the rain.
