2025 Lexus of Sutherland Golf Invitational - Macquarie Links Golf Club

The Lexus Sutherland Golf Invitational was held at Macquarie Links in trying conditions with light rain for almost the entire time. Still, that didn't stop one team from taking out the win by almost four shots.

The third placed team of Shi Lin, Joe Wong & Andrew Kwan did extremely well considering they only had three players. They had a steady start to be one under after four holes, but it was the nine birdies in the next thirteen holes that shot them up the leaderboard to finish with nett 54.33. The runners up were only half a shot better with nett 53.87 and were travelling well at five under par through fourteen holes. However, if they were to make it onto the podium, they would need a good finish. Three birdies in their last four holes would lift them into second place. Well played, Sharon Wong, Amanda Wong, Alan Lau & Lachlan Lau. The winners were off to a hot start with birdies on their first three holes. Things didn't slow much before they went on a run of nine straight birdies to race away from the rest of the field. In fact, they even had the luxury of pars on the last two holes to record an incredible round of 58 and nett 49.75. The on course charity event raised in excess of $4,500 for the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation - thanks to all who contributed! Skye was on the 17th hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day and John Fehon was the lucky winner. John will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
