2025 Lexus of Southport Golf Invitational - Links Hope Island
The Lexus of Southport Golf Invitational was held at Links Hope Island and guests were treated to a beautiful day all round.
The third placed team of Elizabeth Mullan, Nick Brockett, Grant Thurlow & Michael Diamond had a great start and were four under par after just five holes. Things slowed up a bit over the next few holes and they even recorded a bogey on the tough 6th hole. Thankfully for them, they got back on track and two more birdies on their remaining holes would give them nett 55.62, good enough for third place on a count back. The runners up fell just short of the winning score with nett 54.62. The team of Laetitia Merlehan, Stephanie Warren, Warwick Prentice & Robert Kennedy were tracking well at eight under par with four holes to go and just one more birdie would have seen them take out the win, but with pars to finish they would have to settle for second place. The winners started in the best way possible with an eagle on their first hole of the day. In fact their first four holes were eagle, par, birdie, eagle to race to the top of the leader board. When three more birdies were added later in the round, they had the luxury of pars on their final five holes to still take out the win with nett 54.25. Congratulations Geoff Aumann (5), Brett Brant (18), Danielle Wang (29) & Lynn Clarke (26). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
