2025 Lexus of Port Macquarie Golf Invitational - Port Macquarie Golf Club

The Lexus Port Macquarie Golf Invitational was held at Port Macquarie Golf Club in trying conditions with light rain for most of the time, followed by heavy showers for a few teams finishing their last holes. Still, that didn't stop one team from taking out the win after they recorded a 65, beating the rest of the field by four shots.

The third placed team of Evelyn Geh, Robyn Ryan, Roy Moller & Ken Baldwin started with a birdie but then added four bogeys to the card to be well out of contention after twelve holes. Thankfully for them, four birdies were recorded on their closing holes and they were able to sneak into third place with nett 60.12. The runners up had a bogey on their first hole but had enough of a handicap to know that keeping as close to par as possible would put them in with a good chance. Two birdies and three more bogeys were added but it was enough to finish in second place with nett 59.5. Well played, Judy Benson, Roy Benson, Joseph McLachlan & Susan Bodnar. The winners were the lowest handicapped team in the field and would have to finish well clear to take out the win. In the end, their great round of 65 consisted of seven birdies and a lone bogey on the 13th hole to finish 1 1/2 shots clear with nett 58. Congratulations Ian Thompson (18), Garry Hamilton (13), Ian Brown (18) & Dale Hyde (7). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.

Fourteen guests also took part in the beginner golf lessons with Ollie, one of the local golf professionals. Unfortunately, the rainy conditions meant they were moving in and out of the clubhouse at regular intervals, they still managed to complete putting and chipping competitions. Congratulations to the following winners:

Putting Winner - Lawrence Yoong

Putting Runner Up - Emily Yoong

Chipping Winner - Jackie Burley

Chipping Runner Up - Anthony Moss
