2025 Lexus of Maroochydore Golf Invitational - Noosa Springs Golf Club

The Lexus Maroochydore Golf Invitational was held at a new venue this year, Noosa Springs Golf Club. After weeks of wet weather, we were greeted by sunshine and the course was in great condition to match.

The third placed team of Madeleine Scott, Desmond Scott, Rob Mowat & Katie Mowat had a bogey on their second hole of the day and most likely had no thoughts of a podium finish at that point. They settled into some steady golf until they took advantage of one of the pros joining them to make a spectacular eagle on the par 4 11th. When they added another birdie on the way in, they moved up to third place with nett 59. The runners up were off to a quick start with two birdies in their first three holes and when they reached five under after eleven holes, they were on top of the leader board. Unfortunately, back to back bogeys slowed their momentum and they would have to settle for second with nett 56.87. Well played, Ray Cruickshank, Barb Cruikshank, Leah Lynn & Jonathan Broadbent. The winners were off to an even faster start with three birdies in their first four holes before their only bogey of the day was recorded on the tough 12th. A few more birdies were added to their card, but with three holes to go there were no guarantees of a win. All that was put to bed when they made three straight birdies to finish with 64 and nett 54.75. Congratulations Ron Jones (27), Susie Lee (24), Tracey Fettes (18) & Ian Fettes (5).
