2025 Lexus of Macarthur Golf Invitational - New South Wales Golf Club

The Lexus of Macarthur Golf Invitational was held at the newly renovated New South Wales Golf Club and after a false start with poor weather a few weeks earlier, we were greeted to a beautiful day.

The third placed team of Joshua Barnard, Ken Barnard, Duncan Watt & Dennis Lyons had a steady start to their round to be four under par after ten holes, before five birdies in the next six holes shot them up the leader board. Unfortunately a bogey made its way onto their card and they would have to settle for third place with nett 54.5. Exactly one shot ahead were the runners up with nett 53.5. They were off to a a good start with six birdies in twelve holes, but when they added five more birdies in their final six holes it would give them a real chance of a win when they signed for 61. In the end, they came up just 0.38 of a shot short - well played, Warren Kelly, Andrew Johnson, Annunziato Leuzzi & Foti Tzavellas. The winners shot the equal lowest score of the day with a 61 and never looked troubled with eleven birdies and no two hole stretch without a birdie. Congratulations Fred Pobje (17), Richard Hodges (8), Faruk Bilgic (12) & Tahir Bilgic (26) who took out the win with nett 53.12. The on course charity event raised $3,800 for the Mater Dei School, Camden - thanks to all who contributed! Flightscope was on the 4th hole - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

Eight guests took part in the beginner golf lessons conducted by two of the local golf professionals. Competitions were held in both putting and chipping and prizes were awarded to the winners and runners up as below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day and Sachuda Mudaliar was the lucky winner. Sachuda will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club and attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
