2025 Lexus of Chatswood Golf Invitational - Terrey Hills - 27th May
The Lexus Chatswood Golf Invitational was held at Terrey Hills Golf & Country Club and after rain postponed the first attempt, we were greeted by fine weather this time. That would mean no umbrellas were required, but with the course still wet, carts were confined to the paths.
The third placed team of Corey Brown, Malcolm Johnston and Joseph Gerbran were challenged from the start with only three players in their team, but they didn't let that worry them as they went on to shoot the equal lowest score of the day, a 66. They were travelling along nicely to be four under after eleven holes, before a dreaded bogey was recorded. They made amends with three more birdies and in the end fell just 0.55 of a shot short of the winning score with nett 55.67. The runners up were the envy of every team on the course when they started with four straight birdies. That great start proved hard to continue and when two bogeys and three birdies made up the rest of the round, they would have to settle for second place with nett 55.37. Well played, Scott Cunningham, James Wright, Mike Murphy & Bill Rathborne. The winners were middle of the pack on after nine holes at just one under par, but that all changed with three straight birdies shooting them up the leader board. When two further birdies were added, they even had the luxury of a late bogey to win by just 0.25 of a shot with nett 55.12. Congratulations Amitav Goswami (27), Sovon Thakur (25), Inshan Sheriff (18) & John McNally (25). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
