2025 Lexus of Central West Golf Invitational - Dubbo Golf Club

The Lexus of Central West Golf Invitational was rescheduled from March after the course was unplayable on our first attempt. This time, the weather was on our side and guests were treated to a beautiful day. Scoring was extremely close with a count back required to split the top two teams.

The third placed team of Nicholas Lumley, Greg Tighe, Grant Tink & Stuart Astley shot the lowest score of the day by two shots, but when handicaps were taking into account they would fall just short with nett 53.25. They were seven under par after twelve holes and seemly in control of the round until out of no where, they bogeyed the par 3 11th hole. That clearly spurred them on as they made five birdies in a row to finish their round. The runners up were the unlucky ones on the day, missing out on the top prize on a count back. They had a bogey free round finishing with nett 52.5. Well played, William Greenwood, Clint Crose, Brian Zaia & Tommy Gray. The winners were four under par after twelve holes and in need of a quick finish if they were going to feature. Three birdies and an eagle later and they would take out the win on a count back with nett 52.5. Congratulations Michael Mulligan, Bernie Mcullock, Ray Pearson & Jared Eade. The on course charity event raised close to $4,500 for the Orana Support Services - thanks to all who contributed! Flightscope was on the 1st hole - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day and Sharon Allan was the lucky winner. Sharon will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club as well as attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
