2025 Lexus of Cairns Golf Invitational - Palmer Sea Reef Golf Club
The Lexus Cairns Golf Invitational was held at Palmer Sea Reef Golf Club and despite the wind picking up through the day, scoring was as good as ever.
The third placed team of John Cavanah, Chris Patterson, Brad Snow & Sasha Snow were slow out of the blocks and after six holes had only recorded one birdie. Things quickly improved and they went on to record six more birdies before they finished with nett 56.12, less than half a shot off second place. The runners up had nett 55.75 and after a birdie on their first hole they had to wait patiently for another one that finally came on their 9th hole. This clearly sparked something in the group as they had another five birdies, including three in their last four holes to finish in second place. Well played, Quinn Devaney, Gavin Devaney, Daryl Lee & Joe Gollan. In what seems like a common theme, the eventual winners were even par after six holes, with six straight pars and even after fourteen holes they were only three under. However, a birdie, par, birdie, birdie finish would prove to be enough to take out the win with nett 54.12. Congratulations Amanda Hargrave (27), Ben Miles (18), Chris Marsh (27) & Danny Towne (15).
