2025 Lexus of Brisbane Golf Invitational - Links Hope Island

The Lexus of Brisbane Golf Invitational was held at Links Hope Island and despite the weather threatening and the wind picking up through the day, scoring was as good as ever with five teams shooting 64!

The third placed team of Elizabeth Elks, John Elks, John Conomos & Gary Medley had a great start with two birdies in their first three holes. Things slowed up a bit and they only had three birdies in the next twelve holes before three birdies to finish meant they would sneak into third place on a count back with nett 54.75. The runners up had nett 53.87 and fell agonisingly short of the winning score - just 0.12 of a shot. The team of Mark Wust, John Martin, Barry Brewster & Tony Anderson started poorly with a bogey on their second hole and after six holes they were well down the leader board at even par. This all changed when they birdied the next three holes and went on to play their last twelve holes in eight under par. In what seems like a common theme, the eventual winners were one over par after three holes, but six birdies in their next seven holes gave them plenty of confidence. Things slowed again as they only managed one birdie in their next six holes before a crucial birdie, birdie finish gave them the win with nett 53.75. Congratulations Shashi Pala (22), Arun Raniga (22), Ajay Amin (20) & Jaynesh Kumar (18). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.
