2025 Lexus of Brighton Golf Invitational - Victoria Golf Club

The Lexus of Brighton Golf Invitational was held at the beautiful Victoria Golf Club, but unfortunately the weather was not on our side. The forecast rain certainly arrived and made life a challenge for all, forcing the event to be reduced to nine holes. Still, by the look of the photos the guests still had a great time.

Scoring was adjusted to give an 18 hole result, by simply replicating the score for the nine holes played. The third placed team of Darren Hutchins, Andrew Lion, Steven Gaffney & Andrew Gaffney were travelling nicely at two under par after five holes but three straight pars put them on the cusp of missing out on a prize until a timely birdie on their last hole gave them nett 55.62. The runners up of Bryce Pane, Mark Coghlan, Jeff Ablerts & Michael Hoyle were off to a slow start with five straight pars, but three birdies in their last four holes made the world of difference and gave them a nett score of 55.5, just 0.12 ahead of third. In the end, the winners did it in style taking out the victory by over two shots with nett 53.12. After a par on their first hole they rattled off five straight birdies to be on top of the leaderboard and with just three holes left, they even had the luxury of a bogey on their final hole to still take out victory. The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day and Wendy Pullar was the lucky winner. Wendy will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
