2025 Lexus of Blackburn Golf Invitational - Royal Melbourne Golf Club - 3rd March

The Lexus Blackburn Golf Invitational was held at the number one course in the country, Royal Melbourne. With the course in great condition and the greens firm and fast, the guests would be thankful that the weather gods were on our side.

The third placed team of William Zhao, Benjamin Ng, Scott Wilson & Karen Ding were travelling along well at five under par with five holes to go. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't manage any more birdies and in fact, finished with a bogey to drop them out of second place with nett 57.5. The runners up had a mixed round with eight birdies, an eagle and two bogeys, but a timely birdie on the last hole saw them sneak into second place with nett 56.62. Well played, Mark Allen, Kathryn Salmon, George Greenberg & Matt Sutherland. The winners were off to a hot start with birdies on three of their first four holes, but all of that effort came crashing down with consecutive bogeys to drop them back to one under par. That was soon a thing of the past when they added six more birdies to the card to shoot the second lowest score of the day and take out first place when handicaps were applied. The on course charity event and post golf auctions raised in excess of $17,000 for the Otis Foundation - thanks to all who contributed! Jasmine was on the 15th hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the day and Alex Rusmir was the lucky winner. Alex will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
