2025 Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience - Royal Melbourne Golf Club

The Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience took place at the number one course in the country, Royal Melbourne Golf Club. The course was in great condition with the Australian Open only a month away, but the inclement weather meant reducing the event to 14 holes to ensure the maximum comfort for the guests. Whilst two teams separated themselves from the field, the difference between them was less than half a shot!

The runners up had the equal lowest score of the day, a fantastic 67 and were off to a quick start with birdies on their first four holes! They didn't have it all their way however, with two bogeys added to the scorecard. Thankfully there were three birdies as well and with three holes left one more birdie would have taken out the win. Unfortunately for them, it was not to be and they would have to settle for second place with nett 55.75. Well played, Michael Doyle, Simon Jaden, Craig Hicks & Quyen Hicks. The winners were just 0.38 of a shot ahead with nett 55.37 and were the only team on course to complete the round without a bogey. They also had a quick start with birdies on their first two holes, but things slowed down and the next nine holes would only yield one birdie. Just like the runners up, the last three holes would prove to be crucial and when they managed to add another birdie it was enough to get them over the line.
