2025 Lexus of Darwin Golf Invitational - Darwin Golf Club

The Lexus Darwin Golf Invitational was held at Darwin Golf Club under perfect conditions. The course was in great shape and good scores would be required to make it onto the podium.

The third placed team of Kerri Anne Laurence, Tony Avenell, Sascha Smithett & Adam Temple were off to a great start with three birdies in their first four holes. Unfortunately for them, they could only muster one birdie in the next twelve holes, before a birdie, birdie finish saw them sneak into third place with nett 55.87. Just 0.25 of a shot ahead on nett 55.62 were our runners up and whilst a bogey on their first hole of that day wasn't a great way to start, the had a large handicap on their side. So when they combined seven birdies with only two more bogeys, they were able to slip into second place. Well played, Justin Lefebvre, Kylie Lefebvre, Kerry Osborne & Therese Osborne. The winners did it in style, beating the rest of the field by four shots with a fantastic 62. However, none of this was on show early in their round with four pars to start. In fact, after nine holes they were only two under par and sitting well down on the leaderboard. All of that changed when they recorded eight birdies in their last nine holes to finish exactly two shots clear with nett 53.62. The on course charity event raised just over $3,870 for the Cancer Council, NT - thanks to all who contributed! Flightscope was on the 10th hole - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:

Eighteen guests took part in the beginner golf lessons conducted by two of the local golf professionals. Competitions were held in both putting and chipping and prizes were awarded to the winners and runners up as below:

The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day and Erwin Tagnipis was the lucky winner. Erwin will have the opportunity to attend LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
