2025 HLB Mann Judd Golf Day - Concord Golf Club
The 32nd Annual HLB Mann Judd Golf Day was held at Concord Golf Club under perfect conditions, but three teams would find the going a bit easier than others as they managed to separate themselves from the field.
In third place with nett 55 were Todd Gammel, Andrew Bolton, Matthew Beach & Stuart Clark who despite shooting the lowest score of the day, were actually off to a slow start with three pars in a row. Things changed quickly, when over the next nine holes they managed eight birdies! A couple more birdies would find their way onto the card, but finishing with two pars would stop them from taking out the main prize when they finished with nett 55. Just 0.13 of a shot in front were the runners up of Dylan Vieira, Paul Tate, Butch Hornby & Brian Fox who had a disastrous start with a bogey on their very first hole. After seven holes not a lot had improved and they were sitting at even par, but that would all change when they recorded seven birdies in their next ten holes to jump up the leader board into second place. The winning team shot the second lowest score of the day and like the runners up, also started with a bogey. In fact, after eight holes they were sitting in the middle of the pack at two under par, but five birdies and two eagles would change all that. They even had the luxury of another bogey to take out the win by over a shot with nett 53.37. Congratulations to Matt Hocking (27), Ben Dibden (27), Mark Faraday (10) & Sam Burrell (5).
