2024 Sydney City Lexus Golf Invitational - The Lakes - September

The Sydney City Lexus Golf Invitational was held at The Lakes Golf Club under extremely windy conditions. The course was looking beautiful but there was no denying that the wind would play a part in the team's ability to score.

The third placed team of Martin Fileman, Aaron Bray, Jason Tatersall & Tony Mestrov had a tough start and were one over after three holes. That was quickly fixed when they found five birdies in their next twelve holes before another bogey was recorded on the tough 15th. Thankfully for them, they finished with a birdie and were able to sneak into third place with nett 58.5. Just 0.87 ahead were the runners up with nett 57.62. They were off to bad start with a bogey on their first hole of the day. Two more bogeys, two birdies and an eagle would follow until a birdie on their final hole would prove to be the difference. Well played, Eva Gertler, Bob Gertler, Mitchell Morris & Dane Taylor. The winners shot the lowest score of the day by four shots to take out the nett win by exactly two shots with nett 55.62. Their round included seven birdies and when they paid $200 each on the charity hole, they were granted a hole in one to finish nine under par. Congratulations Emaid Dib (17), Moe Khodragha (7), Wassim Chemali (24) & Kon Mides (11). For the full results from the day, please click on the button below - 'Download All Results'.

The on course charity event raised $6,400 for the Sydney Children's Hospital and when this was matched by Sydney City Lexus, it took the amount nearer to $13,000 - thanks to all who contributed! Skye was on the 14th hole with Flightscope - for a collection of swings, please see the video below:
