2024 Melbourne City Lexus Golf Invitational - Yarra Yarra Golf Club

The Melbourne City Lexus Golf Invitational was held at a new venue this year, Yarra Yarra Golf Club. The course (especially the greens), the weather and the clubhouse were all first class and the guests thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to experience one of Melbourne's best venues.

In the end, the top two teams separated themselves from the rest of the field by more than two shots. The third placed team of Craig Dunstan, Adrian Beattie, Roger Wiltshire & Peter Eames were off to a great start with two birdies in their first three holes. Things slowed a little bit from there, but they still managed another five birdies during the round to finish with nett 56.25. The runners up were less than a shot off the winning score. They had the equal lowest round of the day, a fantastic 62, but as one of the lowest handicapped team in the field, it still wasn't enough. They had an amazing start to their round and were ten under par after fourteen holes with victory in their site. Unfortunately, they couldn't improve on that score and would have to settle for second place with nett 53.87. Well played, Joel Harrison, Greg Ash, Andrew Gray & Jin Hong Kim. The winners also shot 62 and had a very similar start to their round to be seven under par after eleven holes. The difference for the winners was that they were able to post two birdies in their final four holes, including a crucial birdie on their last hole to take the win with nett 53 - congratulations, Raelene Le Fevre (32), Tony Le Fevre (15), Brad Monkcom (11) & Anne Burgess (14).
