2024 MBS Insurance Golf Day - Elanora Country Club

The MBS Insurance Golf Day took place at the spectacular Elanora Country Club. The course was simply stunning and many of the guests who were experiencing Elanora for the first time, were not disappointed. Scoring was extremely close with only 1 Stableford points separating the top three teams, with a count back required for the winning position.

The third placed team of Jordan Kennedy, Andrew Wilson, Jono Philpot & Mark Olivier had a 7-pointer on their first hole to give them some confidence, but unfortunately, that confidence eroded quickly with a 3-pointer on the next. They managed some steady golf for the rest of the round but were still sitting well out of third place when the leaderboard paused after 14 holes. That's when they really found some form, finishing 6, 7, 8, 8 to storm up the leaderboard and sign for 107. Just beating them by one point were the unlucky runners up of Peter Green, Sohan Gunasekera, Declan O'Connor & Emma Walter, who missed out on a count back with 108. After two 4-point holes in their first four holes of the day, only 5-pointers and above would be seen for the rest of the round. However, their back nine score of 51 would mean they would be relegated to second place on a count back. The winners were a model of consistency with only two scores below 6 all day. In fact, their lowest score of the day (a 4-pointer) was recorded on their last hole. Still, enough had already been done with 55 points on the back nine to take out the win.
